James is the elder son of a family of four. He plays the violin and piano and would like to have his music published someday. His first computer program was in BASIC on a Radio Shack TRS-80. While growing up, James has moved 12 times and is sure he will move again in the future. He thinks moving enabled him to be open to different ideas and situations as well as make friends quickly and easily. He has returned to San Francisco and now works for MetaTV. His father is a physician and head of the department of physical rehabilitation at a hospital in Salisbury, North Carolina. James' father loves to play golf and is quite good. James' mother is a tax accountant for H&R Block and works in Charlotte, North Carolina. Like James' father, she plays golf as well as giving her time to a nonprofit organization which hopes to bring greater awareness of international issues to the United States. He has a younger brother who is currently contracting for Cisco Systems. James' brother is very athletic and is a practicioner of Hung Gar, Pa Qua, and Tai Chi.
